My latest solo CD
is THE WINDING STAIR

Guest musicians on the album are Paul Burgess, Phil Beer (from Show of Hands), Mike Silver, Geoff March, Mick Dolan and John Neilson..The album includes some of my favourite traditional songs and songs by Karine Polwart, Richard Shindell, Paul Metsers, Martin Graebe, and 2 co-written with Mike Silver.

The CD is £12 at concerts - £12.95 by mail Order

The CD has been getting good reaction -Bob Harris played "We Had it All" on his BBC Radio 2 programme

and Mike Harding played "Lakes of Coolfin" on Radio 2 - MH introduced it by saying something like "Johnny Coppin was one of the members of one of the mega bands of the folk revival Decameron and went on to make a number of solo albums..." He says "Lakes of Coolfin is one of the greatest ballads ever." After the song he says " ..... one of my favourite songs of all time and that's a beautiful version.. a great voice."

Frank Hennessey presenter of BBC Radio Wales programme " Celtic Heartbeat" says - " Johnny's new CD is beautiful" - and the CD is being played on folk shows on BBC Stoke, Solent, Hereford and Worcester, Shropshire, Northern Ireland, Gloucestershire and many more up and down the land.
